Juventus vs LA Galaxy Match Review

After a 1-1 draw where Juve losses of penalties to Everton a few days ago the Bianconeri took on LA Galaxy at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. There were a few early chances for Matri and Donovan but neither were able to break the deadlock until Juninho played a perfect through ball to Omar Gonzalez who neatly chipped the ball over the diving Buffon. The American teams lead didn't last long though and just 3 minutes later Matri found himself slotting home from close range after Quagliarella's shot was pushed into his path. In the second half Antonio Conte set up a different team which included Chiellini, Giovinco, Marchisio and Barzagli. The team looked very sloppy in the second half and mistakes from Vidal and Pirlo, which is very unlike them led to the second and thrid goals. Vidal lossed the ball to Robbie Keane who set up Donovan who tapped it in and Pirlo played a very weak back pass to Storari which was intercepted by Keane who tucked the ball away. The game ended 3-1 to LA Galaxy and Juventus now will play either Inter Milan or Valencia in the seventh and eighth play off.

This result was disgusting even though it was a pre season friendly. I believe that Juventus went to America to show themselves as a brand and gain supporters but instead they have played terrible and probably not gained a fan at all. The team just didn't show the same determination they have shown throughout the league and I think that if Juventus go into the new season with this same attitude then they will struggle to even challenge for the Champions League. Overall I have been very disappointed by the pre season and I think that their is a lot that they need to work on if they are going to win the title for the third year in a row.
