Team expectations for next year ! (Roma)

Roma had a season of disappointment in my eyes last year after finishing 6th and losing a Rome derby in the final of the Coppa Italia. The Roma team adapted their game to their new manager Zdenek Zeman which was extremely attacking but despite scoring lots they were conceding even more and were losing games that shouldn't have done. This led to his sacking and Assistant coach Aurelio Andreazzoli took over. After a poor start Roma managed to improve their performances and managed to finish 6th which was just outside the European spots but the Coppa Italia gave them a lifeline. Unfortunately Roma lost to their arch rivals Lazio in the final which gave a poor result to a rather good season.

If certain things go against Roma next year then I am sure that Roma will have an extremely poor season next year. The main thing Roma need to work on is their defence. This was probably the only reason Roma didn't manage to get European football but their defence this Summer looks to be getting worse. This is because of the sale of Marquinhos. The defender impressed a lot last year at the age of 19 and it wasn't a surprise to see him leave Rome but he will be a huge miss to Roma. Another thing that looks set to ruin Roma's season next year is the possible departure of Lamela, Pjanic and Osvaldo. The players were a main part in Roma's attacking style last year and it is no surprise that they have sparked interest and with Gareth Bale looking set to leave Tottenham Hotspur it wouldn't be the biggest surprise to see all three of them arrive in London.
