Carlos Tevez scores in his debut for Juve in a 7-0 thrashing !!!

On Wednesday the 17th of August Juventus started their pre season campaign with a bang as they thrashed Val D'Aosta. The first half showed hopefully a great pairing next year of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente as the two linked together in the first minute and showed great understanding of each other. Llorente proved a real threat in the first half and in the 32nd minute he created the first goal as he lobbed it over the opponents defence to Marco Motta who finished the move of neatly. Approaching the whistle of half time Vidal made a bursting run forward and cut it back to Tevez who proved himself a good striker and got the crowd on their feet as he tucked the ball into the back of the net.

The Juventus team that returned for the second half was completely different and this proved worthy. Just minutes into the second half Matri was put through one on one and he kept his cool to slot home the third of game. Not only did the partnership of Llorente and Tevez go well so did the combination of Matri, Vucinic and Quagliarella in the second half. But the Val D'Aosta captain Andrea Menegazzi came close to scoring a wonder goal but unluckily hit the post. But the Juve class came through and in the 71st minute Juve were awarded a penalty which Vucinic calmly tucked away. Once the ball touched the net the floodgates opened and the goals came flooding through. A few minutes later Vucinic ended up in the same position with the ball on the spot and once again he put it in the back of the net to make it 5-0. The sixth goal was scored by one of the youngsters in the team Federico Mattiello who calmly took the ball around the keeper to slot the ball in the back of the net. The final goal was scored in extra time by Matri who tucked it in from close range to make the final score a huge 7-0.

This game proved the skill and relationship between the players and the whole team seemed to work together well and ultimately score goals. Hopefully these are the sort of results we will be seeing next year.
